Fundraising
St. Martin's is funded by residents' fees and charitable giving. The Fund Raising Commitee are dedicated to organising interesting and varied events and activities to raise vital funds for St. Martin's. In the financial year 2010-11 the committee raised £5633.63. Forthcoming Events
On Saturday 31st March 2012 at 7.30pm there will be a charity quiz night in aid of St Martin's. This will be held at St Saviour's Church Hall on the corner of Chadwick Rd and Kings Rd, Westcliff-on-Sea SS0 8LD. See map. Tickets are £5 (without food) or £7 (with food.) Recent Events
December 2011
Thank you to everyone who bought tickets for our Grand Christmas Draw. The total raised from this was £637.50.
On the 3rd of the month 5 teams competed in our Christmas quiz, raising a grand total of £218.
October 2011
On 9th October there was a Charity Bridge Evening at Thorpe Bay Bridge Club. Although a lot of people were away (taking advantage of post school holiday cheaper flights) 18 people attended and £145 was raised.
September 2011
On Saturday 17th September 8 teams competed in a quiz night. A grand total of £318 was raised, £90 of which came from the raffle.
August 2011
On 10th August a group of 20 people gathered at East restaurant on Alexander Road in Southend. Everyone enjoyed an excellent meal featuring a wide variety of food. There was also plenty of it so people were able to make repeated trips to the buffet.
June 2011
On 25th June we held a quiz night at St Martin's. The amount raised, including the raffle, was £283.
May 2011
15th May saw one of our regular Bridge Evenings at Thorpe Bay Bridge Club. This time 22 people attended and £191 was raised.
March 2011
On 26th March 48 people attended a quiz night and raised £277.
February 2011
On 26th February 45 people attended a quiz night at St Martin's. This raised £278.
January 2011
On 9th January we held our first fundraising event of the year- A Bridge Evening at Thorpe Bay Bridge Club. Despite several last minute cancellations 20 people were able to attend and £150 was raised.
Our quiz night on 15th January was attended by 46 people and raised £272.50.

Our Christmas raffle raised the grand sum of £662.50. Thank you to everyone who bought or sold tickets and to those who donated prizes.
June 2010 On 26th June a Table Sale was held at St Martin's. Plant and bric-a-brac stalls were the order of the day and cups of tea and coffee were also available. A grand total of £139.64 was raised.
November 2009: On 3rd November 2009 St Martin's and the Lodge of True Friendship held a joint fashion show at King Edmund School, Rochford. Over 60 people attended and over £500 was raised for the benefit of St Martin's residents and Masonic charities. The High Street branded clothes were provided by the Kat-Walk Company and shown off by six models. After the show there was a chance to buy the clothes at very favourable prices.
