Fundraising

St. Martin's is funded by residents' fees and charitable giving. The Fund Raising Commitee are dedicated to organising interesting and varied events and activities to raise vital funds for St. Martin's. In 2009 the committee raised £6,014. The Chairman of the fundraising committee, Mr. Bob Riley, can be contacted via briley117@btinternet.com.

 Forthcoming Events

On Tuesday 23rd March at 7.30pm  there will be a Chinese meal at Zen City, Hamlet Court Rd, Westcliff. The cost will be £15.

There will be a Charity Bridge Evening at Thorpe Bay Bridge Club on Sunday 18th April at 7pm. The price is £5, including light refreshments.

On Saturday 8th May at 7.30pm there will be another quiz evening at St Martin's. Tickets are £4 or £7 (with food.)

Recent Events

On 13th February 66 people attended a quiz night at St Martin's. This raised £370. People also praised the quality of the food provided!

 On 24 January 40 people enjoyed a Bridge Evening at Thorpe Bay Bridge Club. With the help of the raffle a total of £301 was raised.

November 2009: On 3rd November 2009 St Martin's and the Lodge of True Friendship held a joint fashion show at King Edmund School, Rochford. Over 60 people attended and over £500 was raised for the benefit of St Martin's residents and Masonic charities. The High Street branded clothes were provided by the Kat-Walk Company and shown off by six models. After the show there was a chance to buy the clothes at very favourable prices.
