About St. Martin's

Aims of the Charity

1) The primary aim of the Charity is to provide a Residential Home for the elderly as detailed within the terms of its Trust Deed.
2) The Charity has a duty to ensure that all residents lead as full and contented life as possible.
3) The Charity, through its care staff, adopts the role of advocate for the residents. As responsible advocates the Charity will then take advantage of all services offered by outside agencies to provide health or specialist care or any other services not provided within the Home.

Objectives

1) To ensure staff participate with residents and encourage them to lead as independent a life as possible.
2) To ensure residents receive the appropriate services available to them such as health, social services, library services etc.
3) To establish and maintain links within the local community. Support is sought from relatives, friends, local churches, schools, etc.
4) To create relationships on which confidence grows as residents become accustomed to their home.
5) To encourage resident participation and involvement in decision making processes affecting their home.
