Fundraising Purchases
Thanks to the generosity of numerous groups and individuals, St. Martin's has been able to purchase items for the home which enhance the lives of the residents. This page will highlight some of these items from time to time, subject to web space limitations.
Parker Bath:
A major fund raising project was initiated in 2005. Thanks to some very generous donations we finally managed to buy a new Parker Bath in May 2007. This new automated bath is a major improvement on the previous one which was manually operated; the automation ensures that when the bath moves it is a smoother ride and therefore a much more comfortable experience for our residents.

Reminiscence Area:
Our Reminiscence Area project was also initiated in 2005 and items for the area have been purchased as money was raised. The items on display are useful for prompting reminiscence and discussion among residents and staff. This is a beneficial activity for all residents but is particularly good for sufferers of dementia. We continue to welcome any donations of money or items for the area; items can be loaned to the home for a period of time if preferred.
